Each year at the EQUIP Youth Conference at Vineyard Anaheim, we address the question: "Why Vineyard?" What is it that God has given to us as a community of churches to steward and to advance in the world around us? In particular, what does it mean to be a youth in that endeavor? We believe that the youth are immensely important to what God is doing and wants to do amongst us in the Vineyard. Youth are a vital and thriving component of the Church that must be mobilized, envisioned, trained, and released to do the work of the Kingdom. The EQUIP Conference is an effort to see that happen. This year, the theme will be "In His Presence" and will focus on Worship. We will look at the role of Worship and being a people of God's presence in the life of our youth. Along with great workshops, an outreach, free-time, and connecting with people from approximately 25 other churches, our youth will be challenged and encouraged in the life of the Kingdom of God. A conference for adults will be going on in the sanctuary at the same time, so we will be under a canopy in the parking lot. Workshops will be indoors. |
